The Ridgeland Panthers and Lady Panthers both dropped Region 6-AAAA contests at Southeast Whitfield on Friday night.
The Ridgeland girls trailed by 10 at halftime, were down by 17 in the third quarter and rallied to cut the gap down to five late in the fourth before ultimately losing the game, 51-44.
Brylee Dunn had 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Haley Sandridge added an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double for Ridgeland, who fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in region play.
The nightcap saw the Panthers (2-2, 1-1) trail by just two points at halftime, 27-25, before the Raiders gave themselves some breathing room in the second half.
Christian Battle paced the Panthers with 15 points, 13 of which came in the first half. Fred Norman added seven points, while Markeith Montgomery, Eric Byrd and Nathan Carver dropped in six points apiece.
Ridgeland will travel to Tunnel Hill to face Northwest Whitfield in region play on Tuesday.
