The Oakwood Christian Eagles and Lady Eagles closed out the regular season on Thursday with road losses to the homeschool-based Chattanooga Patriots.
Annika Green had 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for OCA, but it was not enough in a 45-32 loss.
Mary Ownby and Lily Green had seven points apiece, while middle schooler Avery Green added five points in a late-season call-up. Grayson Broadrick had four points in the loss as the Lady Eagles dropped to 15-6 overall.
In the nightcap, Oakwood (6-16) rallied from a 50-38 deficit at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but missed some open looks late, while the Patriots were able to hit their free throws at the end of a 64-59 contest.
Tuesday’s hero, John Jacob McSpadden, had 15 points, including three 3-pointers. Garrison Baggett added 12 points, followed by Phillip Davis with 10. Tyler Epperson finished with six points.
Trevor Hobbs, Woody Hass and Andrew Phillips dropped in four points each, while Jacob Wellwood and D.J. Terry each scored two.
The SCAA tournament will get underway Monday at the Rossville Athletic Center.
