The top-seeded Oakwood Christian Lady Eagles weren't expected to have too much trouble with eighth-seeded Calvary Christian in the first round of the Southern Christian Athletic Association tournament at the Rossville Athletic Center on Monday.
And they did not.
Lexie Asher had 20 points and Ashley Keith dropped in seven as OCA won in a 47-2 rout.
Annika Green had six points and seven steals. Callie Ray and Anslee Tucker had four points each with Tucker pulling down a team-high seven boards. Mary Ownby, Lily Green and Raleigh Suits all had two points apiece in the victory.
OCA (16-6) will play in a Tuesday semifinal, starting at 6:30 p.m. Their opponent was unknown as of press time.

After playing the Hawks to a six-point game at home three weeks ago, the Eagles couldn't find the formula for the upset in the first round of the SCAA tournament Monday night.
OCA was outscored 16-0 in the first quarter and 34-10 at halftime as they dropped the game and ended their season with a 62-37 loss.
Phillip Davis had 12 points to lead OCA (6-17), followed by eight points from Woody Hass and seven by Andrew Phillips. Cory Taylor had a pair of 3-pointers to account for his six points and Garrison Baggett ended up with four points.
