Oakwood Christian Eagles

The Oakwood Christian girls played "the best game they've played in a while", according to head coach Kraig Givens, in a 43-29 win at CAYA in Collegedale on Monday night.

Grayson Broadrick had 12 points and six steals to help send the Lady Eagles (5-1) to a fifth consecutive win. Madi Phillips had a season-high 10 points, followed by Annika Green with nine and Mary Ownby with seven. Green and Ownby each grabbed 11 rebounds.

Lexie Asher added four points in the win, while Raleigh Suits accounted for one point.

CAYA boys 57, OCA 43

The Eagles from Chickamauga trailed 25-23 at halftime and 39-32 to start the fourth before the hometown Eagles pulled away for good in the fourth quarter.

Garrsion Baggett had 11 points in the loss for OCA (0-5). Andrew Phillips finished with 10 points. Woody Hass had six, while John Jacob McSpadden added four. Caleb Epperson, Tyler Epperson and J.J. Lanham finished with three points apiece.
