The Oakwood Christian Eagles finally got their long-awaited first victory of the 2017-18 season with a 57-50 win over Calvary on Monday night.
OCA (1-9) trailed 21-20 at halftime, but rallied to take a 39-35 lead heading into the fourth quarter before pulling away.
John Jacob McSpadden had a game, season and career-high 30 points to go with three rebounds and three assists. Woody Hass, had nine points and four boards in his first game back from an ankle injury. Phillip Davis and Tyler Epperson had five and two points, respectively, but both came up with 11 rebounds apiece.
Other contributors included Andrew Phillips with five points and six rebounds, Trevor Hobbs with three rebounds and one assists and Caleb Epperson with four points.
In the girls' game, the Lady Eagles (8-2) had eight different players score in a 45-6 rout.
Mary Ownby paced the Navy-and-Gold with 12 points, while Annika Green had eight points, eight rebounds and three assists. Lily Green added eight points, while Madi Phillips scored six points and had a team-high four steals.
Grayson Broadrick (4), Ashley Keith (3), Lexie Asher (2) and Anslee Tucker (2) rounded out the scoring.
