The LFO Lady Warriors enjoyed a big third quarter on the road Monday night, but could not overcome big first and fourth quarters by host Sonoraville as they dropped a 62-51 decision in a Region 6-AAA crossover game.
The Lady Warriors (12-11, 6-5) found themselves trailing 19-7 after the first eight minutes and they were down 32-17 at halftime. They went on to outscore the Lady Phoenix 22-9 in the third, but would give up 21 more points in the fourth as Sonoraville pulled away.
Macey Gregg had 17 of her 24 points in the third quarter, but she was the only Lady Warrior in double figures. Saturday's hero, Milijah Williams, finished with eight points, while Jerrian Jackson, Jerriale Jackson and Gracen Hobbs each had three points. Jerriale Jackson led the team with seven rebounds.
In the nightcap, the Warriors lost a 79-73 decision in overtime. Individual scoring had not been provided as of press time. LFO fell to 8-13 overall and 5-6 in region play with the loss.
