The Heritage Lady Generals closed out the regular season slate on Thursday with a 49-37 win at LaFayette.
Heritage finished the regular season 16-8 overall and 8-4 in region play. Ansley Bice had 22 points on the night, including a 12-for-12 performance at the free throw line. Reagan Armour added 16 points, while Sydnee St. John finished with seven.
LaTyah Barber had 14 points for LaFayette, who finished the regular season 4-17 overall and 3-9 in region play. Emily Redden added eight points.
In the boys' game, the Generals handed LaFayette its first loss of the season in Region 6-AAAA play, its first loss of the season at home and just its second loss overall on the year with a 50-36 decision.
Cole Wilcox had 18 points for Heritage (14-11, 8-4). Adam Thacker finished with 12 and Luke Grant added 10 in the win.
Alex Kelehear had 12 points for LaFayette (21-2, 11-1) and Dee Southern dropped in 10. It was a cold shooting night for the home team, who had just eight combined points in the second and third quarters.
The Region 6-AAA tournament is scheduled to begin on Monday at Southeast Whitfield High School.
