The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans held a 29-19 lead at halftime on Tuesday, but couldn't hold on to it as the Gordon Central Lady Warriors stormed back in the second half to pick up a 55-51 non-region victory in Chickamauga.
Mercedes Coleman had 24 points for Central in the comeback win.
Faith Alexander had 15 points for Gordon Lee (1-2), followed by Gracie O'Neal with 14 and Abby Dalton with 10.
The Trojans led 12-11 after the first eight minutes in the boys' varsity game, but the Navy-and-White would explode for 39 points in the next eight minutes and they went on to an 82-49 win.
Ten different players scored and combined for six 3-pointers for Gordon Lee (3-0) in the period. Hayden Murphy had three of those six treys and finished with a team-high 14 points. Kannen Derryberry added 13 points, followed by Jacob Dyer with nine and Sam Norton with eight off the bench.
Gordon Lee will host Heritage in non-region games on Friday night, starting at 7 p.m.
