After needing a huge fourth-quarter comeback to beat Trion at home earlier in the week, the Gordon Lee Lady Trojans had a bit easier time in Friday night’s rematch back at Trion.
The Lady Trojans led 18-12 at intermission, but held the Lady Bulldogs to five points in the third quarter to help pull away and win, 46-31.
Faith Alexander and Abby Dalton each had 14 points with Dalton connecting on three treys. Gracie O’Neal added 11 as Gordon Lee moved to 12-9 overall and 7-4 in subregion play.
Haley Price and Tianna Youngblood had seven points apiece for Trion.
In the night’s final game, the Bulldogs led 15-9 after the first quarter and slowly increased their advantage for the rest of the night in a 55-42 win.
Jarrett Van Gurp finished with a game-high 19 points for Trion, followed by 14 from Jarrett Gill and 12 from Blaine Woody.
Jacob Dyer had 12 for the Trojans (10-11, 3-8). Jack Solmon added nine points and Hayden Murphy picked up seven.
The Trojans and Lady Trojans will close out the regular season on Saturday with home games against Mt. Zion.
