The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans held the homestanding Ringgold Lady Tigers to just three points in the first quarter, en route to a 57-38 victory in Catoosa County on Thursday night

It was a balanced scoring attack for Gordon Lee, led by Gracie O'Neal's 13 points. Faith Alexander had 12 in the win. Abby Dalton finished with 10. Samantha Belue picked up 10 points while Kaitlyn O'Toole finished with eight.
Rachel Akers had a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double for Ringgold (6-4). Kaylee Womack and Maggie Reed each had eight points while Shelby Cole finished with six.
In the boys' game, the Trojans handed the Tigers just their second loss of the season with a 55-54 win.
Ringgold led 23-22 at halftime and carried a three-point lead into the fourth quarter. But the Trojans outscored the Tigers 16-12 in the final eight minutes to pick up the non-region victory.
Zander Smith scored 13 of his 16 points in the second half to pace the Trojans (6-2) in the win. Hayden Murphy scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers. Jack Solmon added eight, while Kannen Derryberry finished with seven. The Trojans went 6-of-7 from the charity stripe in the final period.
Logan Hullender had 17 points for the Tigers (8-2). Cade Nayadley had 15 points and Ammon Murphy had nine points and seven rebounds.
Gordon Lee will host Christian Heritage in region games on Friday, starting at 6 p.m., while Ringgold will be off until Dec. 28 when its teams begin play in the Whitwell (Tenn.) Christmas Tournament.
