LFO lost a close one to the Murray County Indians on Wednesday.

With the game tied 1-1 in the top of the seventh, Josh Cain of the Indians hit an RBI-single off Logan Gruetter. This led to the Indians (8-19, 5-11) putting up one more run in the inning before solidifying a 3-1 victory.

Though the Warriors finished with five hits, the Indians’ Kyle Dotson only gave up one earned run while striking out five.

Garren Mauldin, Gruetter and Jake Bass each had hits for LFO, while Gruetter knocked in his only run with a single in the third.

Hayden Busie and Logan Palmer each went 2-for-4 for the Indians, while Dotson, Cain and Preston VanMeter each had one RBI.

Lakeview (11-17, 4-13) is scheduled to close out the season at home against Adairsville on Friday at 5:55 p.m.
