Ringgold Tigers

The Ringgold Tigers made the drive to the Lakepoint Complex in Cartersville on Tuesday and needed just one big inning to put away Class 7A North Paulding, 10-0.

Ringgold (3-1) scored all 10 of its runs in a huge first inning, capped by grand slam off the bat of Holden Tucker, who finished with two hits on the night. Johnny Camalluci had two RBIs, while Gavin Hollis, Nathan Camp and Andre Tarver each added singles. The Tigers also took advantage of three Wolfpack errors.

Casey Pate got the win in the five-inning, run-rule game. He threw three innings, while Ammon Murphy worked the final two innings. Both pitchers struck out three batters and combined to surrender just four hits.

Ringgold will host Heritage on Friday at 5:55 p.m. before Gordon Lee comes to town on Saturday for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
