The LFO Warriors improved to 6-2 on the season with a 7-4 win over LaFayette Monday night in south Walker County.
Andrew Brock stayed red hot at the plate with two hits, including a double, with a run scored, four RBIs and three of the team's eight stolen bases.
LaFayette (0-7) led 3-2 after three innings, but the Warriors would score four times in the top of the fourth. Matthew Trusley got the inning going with a double and scored on a Jake Bass single. Giovanni Barroso picked up an RBI on a sacrifice fly and Brock came through with a two-run double.
Both teams would score solo runs in the seventh.
Trusley pitched the first six innings to get the win. He allowed two earned runs on four hits and three walks and finished with 11 strikeouts. Riley Mosier allowed a run on one hit in the seventh. He struck out one in getting the save.
Trent Currie took the loss for the Ramblers, giving up six earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and five walks. A.J. Buck gave up an earned run on one hit and two walks with five strikeouts in three innings.
Buck had a double at the plate, while Blake Guffey was 2-for-4. Ethan Stephenson, Davis Richardson and Blake Mann all had RBIs in the loss.
LFO will play at Dade County Thursday at 5:30 p.m., while LaFayette will begin a home-and-home series with Coahulla Creek on Thursday. Game 1 will be at LaFayette at 5:30 on Thursday before the scene shifts to Varnell on Friday.
