A Catoosa County man was arrested on drug charges after several officers executed a search warrant at residence known for drug activity, police say.
According to the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department:
Richard Earl Penley, 54, of 1111 Catoosa Parkway in Ringgold, was arrested Feb. 6 on charges of possession of marijuana (less than an ounce), possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm or knife during commission or attempt of a crime, and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. His bond was set at $13,500.
Detectives say the home belonged to Penley, and that it was residence known for drug activity.
The bust happened just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and according to the incident report, a dozen members of the Sheriff's Department were present during the raid.
