Catoosa County sheriff's detectives are investigating a robbery case in which two men attacked a Domino's delivery driver and made off with $34 worth of pizzas, police say.
According to the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred just after midnight Saturday, Sept. 9, on Holcomb Road.
The victim told police he got an order to deliver multiple pizzas to 95 Holcomb Road, at which time he was approached by two men.
"The victim stated two white males were sitting next to the driveway and approached him," Deputy Coby Cunningham said. "The victim stated he told them the total (for the order) and they stated they had been locked out of the house."
The man says he knew something wasn't right, but that when he attempted to walk away from the situation, he was punched in the face by one of the men and robbed of the pizza he was toting.
The two suspects fled the scene on foot toward the area of Boynton Drive, reports show.
Police say the men were described as white males appearing to be in their early 20s. One suspect was said to be wearing a dark-colored hoodie, while the other has jet black hair with bangs.
The victim suffered some jaw pain and bleeding from his mouth, but was able to take himself to the hospital for evaluation.
According to Capt. Chris Lyons, detectives have yet to make an arrest in the case and have developed few leads in the days since the attack.
