A refrigerant machine was recently stolen during an entering auto incident in Rossville, police say.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department, a truck was ransacked on Lincoln Drive in Rossville sometime between the night of Feb. 27 and the early morning hours of Feb. 28, resulting in the theft of an Apper Twin brand refrigerant machine.

The victim told deputies he last saw the piece of equipment around 10 p.m. on Feb. 27, and that he found the property missing from the cab of his work truck the following morning, reports show.

The victim admitted that the vehicle was left unlocked, and a neighbor claimed to have heard something going on near the vehicle sometime between 3 and 4 a.m.

The machine is valued at approximately $650.
