Catoosa County sheriff's detectives are investigating a recent burglary in Rossville in which the burglar not only stole appliances, but also damaged the property.

According to the Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred in the 500 block of Lakeview Drive sometime between Feb. 15 and 21.

Officers were dispatched to the location on the morning of Feb. 21 after the owner reported that all the doors of the triplex property had been kicked in.

He told police the property had been undergoing renovations and that he arrived to find all three units had been entered and damaged.

In addition to doors being kicked in, lighting fixtures were missing, as well as a stove and air-conditioning unit, reports show.

"The door to the storage area was kicked in also," Lt. Andrew Dodson said. "The victim stated there was also damage to ceiling tiles and windows on all of the units."

The property said the incident marked the third time the location had been burglarize and he suspected that a former tenant might be responsible.

Anyone with information on the burglary or the missing property is encouraged to contact the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department at 706-935-2424.
