Terry Monroe "Hoot" Gibson, 60, Chattanooga, Tenn.

Terry Monroe "Hoot" Gibson, 60, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

Terry was born in Chattanooga on June 23, 2017 to his parents, Johnny Payne and Marcine Pedrick. Terry has been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a graduate of Kirkman High School. For several years, Terry was a professional drummer with various groups, including the Mill Wee Hollow Band and 27 South. He was of the Christian faith and also enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, going to the shooting range. Terry is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Payne and his adoptive parents, Ralph and Bessie Gibson.

Survivors include his mother, Marcine "Marcie" Pedrick, sons, Kenny Gibson and Caleb Walls, daughter, Tessa Turner, three brothers, Michael Sherril, Steve Davis and Marty Payne, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: 1:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Evangelist Ron Taylor officiating.

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery.

James "Jimmy" Pressley, 52, East Ridge, Tenn.

James "Jimmy" Pressley, 52, of East Ridge passed away Monday, September 11, 2017.

He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga where he was a 1985 graduate of East Ridge High School. Jimmy had worked as a manager for many years at Truck Pro in Chattanooga and Dalton. His passions in life was riding motorcycles and enjoying the outdoors. He loved working on trucks, watching NASCAR and wrestling, and just enjoying life. He was a loving dad, son, and brother who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Pressley; paternal grandparents, Ben and Opal Pressley; and maternal grandfather, Junior Allen Hicks.

Survivors include his son, James Pressley of East Ridge; father, David Pressley of East Ridge; sisters, Elizabeth Duncan of Chattanooga and Becky Robinson of Rossville; maternal grandmother, Sarah Hicks of Chattanooga; nieces, Kasey Wortman and Chasity Robinson; and nephew, Dakota Robinson, all of Chattanooga.
