Mark Alan Evans, 58, Ringgold, Ga.
Mark Alan Evans, 58, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Monday October 16, 2017.
A native of Pontiac, Michigan, he has lived in the Ringgold area for the past year and was formerly of Lake Worth, Florida. Mark retired from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department where he served as a deputy for 35 years and was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his father, Max Arnold Evans.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marjorie Timbrooks Evans of Ringgold, GA.; mother, Dorothy Cadieux Evans of Waterford, MI.; daughter, Melissa Ann (Donald) Pittman of Ringgold, GA.; three brothers, Michael Evans, Max (Kelly) Evans and Jon Evans all of Waterford, MI.; three granddaughters, Madeline Pittman, Miriam Pittman and Magnolia Pittman; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: 11:00 A.M. Friday October 20, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jason Thomas officiating.
Entombment: Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Thursday and 9 A.M. until funeral time Friday at the funeral home.

Nora Mae Mannerberg Gelnett, 80, Rossville, Ga.
Nora Mae Mannerberg Gelnett, 80 of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 16, 2017.
She had lived in the Rossville area for most of her life and was of the Nazarene faith. She was active with the American Legion Battlefield Post # 214 and was previously employed as an Accountant for Roofing & Supply Company. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Stewart Gelnett and son, Brian Eugene Gelnett.
Survivors include her son, Steven Gelnett of Rossville, GA; sisters, Helen Mannerberg and Wilma Myers both of New York; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer & Reannah Gelnett; 3 great grandchildren, Achilles, Dominik and William and numerous extended family & friends.
Funeral services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Keith James officiating.
Entombment: Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
Visitation: After 4 p.m. on Thursday and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Anthony Deloy "Tony" Tipton, 56, Rossville, Ga.
Anthony Deloy "Tony" Tipton, 56, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
Tony was a faithful member of Lakeview First Baptist Church where he sang in the choir, was active in the men’s Fellowship Sunday School Class, and the small group Bible study. He was known for his work with hi-performance motorcycles and motorcycle racing, having worked for his dad at MTC Engineering Motorcycle Racing Company in California, Mexico, Florida, and Georgia. Tony’s passions in life were serving God, attending church, and motorcycle racing. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth "Ken" Tipton, mother, Fran Tipton, and brother, Woody Tipton.
Survivors include his sister, Sharon (Richard) Hundley, Elizabethton, KY; step-mother, Bea Tipton; aunt, Lily Moore; cousin, Lynn Brollier; several nieces, nephews including the families of Kia Hunt, Tara Raczenski, Michael Hundley, Victoria Hundley, as well as a host of friends.
