Bobbie Eloise Griffitts, 82, Rossville, Ga.

Bobbie Eloise Griffitts, 82, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 23, 2017 following a brief illness.

A native and lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and north Georgia area, Mrs. Griffitts was a faithful member of Anchor of Hope Baptist Church and retired from Simco Leather following thirty years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin & Lula Glenn, husband, Edward Lee Griffitts, son, Larry Griffitts, daughter, Teresa Annette Malone, two brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include her son, Tony Griffitts, Michael Griffitts, & Gordon (Karen) Griffitts; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Wednesday, October 25th at 1:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Brian Haney officiating.

Interment: Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Landon Chase Kelly, infant

Landon Chase Kelly, 1 month, 1 week and 2 days, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in a local hospital.

Landon was born September 15, 2017 to his parents, Zachary Sean Kelly and Lindsey Katelyn Schmitt. He is now one of "Nana’s lil angels" rejoicing in heaven with her. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Kim Schmitt, great-grandmother, Dorothy Melton and his grandfather, Anthony Wayne Chandler.

Additional survivors include his twin brother, Braxton Chandler Kelly, grandfather, John Scroggins, grandparents, Amanda and Josh Lee, several great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside service: 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Willie Albert Thurman, 73, East Ridge, Tenn.

Willie Albert Thurman, 73, of East Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Thurman was born in Spring City, Tennessee on February 2, 1945 to the late Lewis and Sarah McCurry and has resided in the East Ridge area for several years. He was a member of Ringgold Church of God for the past 5 years and was retired from Mohawk Industries in Fort Oglethorpe where he was a tufting operator. Mr. Thurman enjoyed working in his garage and loved to fix things and staying busy. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by three sisters, Lou Hancock, Wilma Mosley and Evelyn Terry.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Thurman, daughters, Cindy (Greg) Partin, Sarah (Kenny Buttner) Bennett, Vivian (George) Judzewitsch and Janet Brislan, son, Steven Langston, sister, Vivian McNabb, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Carol Allen and Bro. Ron Ingram officiating.

Interment: Lakewood Memory Gardens – South.
