Lesley Gene Metcalf Sr., 78, Chattanooga, Tenn.

Lesley Gene Metcalf, Sr., 78 of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Christian faith. He was previously employed with Evans Disposal for many years and was always known for living life to the fullest. He loved old western shows & movies and spent a lot of time being a vendor at many area Flea Markets. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Ruth Metcalf; two brothers, Jimmy & Roger Metcalf and one sister.

Survivors include five children, Lesley Eugene Metcalf, Jr. of Dayton, TN, Glenn & (Jessica) Metcalf of Ringgold, GA, Tommy Metcalf of East Ridge, TN, Jerry & (Pamela) Metcalf of Graysville, TN and Jeannie Metcalf of Hixson, TN; brothers, Grady Metcalf and Rell Metcalf of East Ridge, TN; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Troy Simmons officiating.

Burial: Daily Hills Cemetery.

Visitation: After 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, all day Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Johnny Horton Jackson, 48, LaFayette, Ga.

Johnny Horton Jackson, age 48, of LaFayette passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Longtime resident of LaFayette, Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. and Janette A. Jackson, brothers, Roger and Jeffrey Jackson and a niece, Alisha Blassingame.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Richard (Chastity) Jackson, Mike, Cecil (Ruth) and Randy (Paula) Anderson all of LaFayette and Lloyd Anderson of Monroe La.; several nieces and nephews.

A dual memorial service will be held for Johnny and his brother Roger at LaFayette Revival Center, 415 Chestnut St., LaFayette, Ga., on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 2 pm with their uncle Rev. Marion Webb officiating.

Roger Dale Jackson, 55, LaFayette, Ga.

Roger Dale Jackson, age 55, of LaFayette passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017.

Longtime resident of LaFayette, Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. and Janette A. Jackson, brothers, Johnny and Jeffrey Jackson and a granddaughter Alisha Blassingame.

He is survived by a son, Roger Dale Jackson Jr. and a daughter and son-in law Kimberly (Bill) Saine, grandchildren: Jagger Jackson, Braxton and Mason Saine; brothers Richard (Chastity) Jackson, Mike , Cecil (Ruth) and Randy (Paula) Anderson all of LaFayette and Lloyd Anderson of Monroe La; several nieces and nephews.

Gordon Burnette Johnson, 74, Ringgold, Ga.

Gordon Burnette Johnson, 74, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a former employee of Shaw Industries where he worked for 39 years in Maintenance and was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie June Johnson; mother, Betty Elizabeth Tudor Bomar; father, Joe Burnette Johnson; step-son, Russell Baggett; and two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Johnson and Wayne Bomar.

He is survived by three children, Thomas "Tommy" (Lenora) Johnson of Dalton, GA., Dale (Tracey) Johnson of Ringgold, GA., and Donna (Eddie) Mears of Pikeville, TN.; step-son, David Baggett of Ringgold, GA.; two sisters, Ester Jones and Vivian Marks both of LaFayette, GA.; three brothers, Neal Bomar of Ringgold, GA., Andy Johnson of Ringgold, GA and Rickey Johnson of Georgia; eleven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Gardner officiating.

Interment: New Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation: Wednesday from 3-8 P.M. and Thursday from 9 A.M. until funeral time at the funeral home.

Cathie Kelley, 66, Rossville, Ga.

Cathie Kelley, 66, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017.

She was a native of the Chattanooga, TN area and was a long time resident of Rossville, GA. Cathie had a 28 year career with the Krystal Corporation in the accounts payable, payroll and real estate areas. She was a proud 1969 graduate of Rossville High School. She had a lifelong love of politics and was most recently the 2nd Vice Chair of the Walker County Republican Party. Cathie was also avid reader, loved movies and enjoyed science fiction.

She was preceded in death by her father, Baxter Kelley.

Cathie is survived by her son, Michael (Niki) Kelley; her mother, Nina Kelley; brothers Steve (Juanita) Kelley & Dean Kelley and sisters Robin Higgins; and Sandra Kelley; niece Amanda (Dru) Smith and nephew Daniel Higgins.

Funeral services: Friday at 11am in the South Crest Chapel.

Interment: Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
