Jerry R. Dublin, 82, Rossville, Ga.

Jerry R. Dublin, 82, of Rossville passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at his home.

He had lived most of his life in North Georgia, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Benton, Kentucky, and attended the First Baptist Church of Chickamauga. Jerry retired from Walmart in Ft. Oglethorpe as a manager in the Boys Department. He was a member of the American Orchid Society and Jerry’s passions in life were working with his orchids in his greenhouse, collecting owls, and enjoying nature and animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Dub" and Lucille Dublin; sister, Anne Dublin Nelson; and niece, Jennifer Nelson.

Survivors include his niece, Barbara Dunn; nephews, Kelvin Beard and Jason Beard; lifelong friend and caregiver, Darrell Sheehan; his Chihuahua, Tula; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Charles Edward Coley, 89, Lookout Valley

Charles Edward Coley, 89, of Lookout Valley, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Coley was retired from Container Corporation following 42 years of service and ran the News Free-Press route at Erlanger Medical Center for 60 years. He then worked for Wal-Mart from 2005 until 2017. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Earl Coley, mother, Fannie Layne Coley, father, James O. Coley, sister, Lovella Schleif, and brother, James W. Coley.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Mitchell Coley; daughter, Joyce S. Coley Lea; son, Charles Randy Coley; sisters, Mary Kathryn Swaggerty, Lydia Fryar, Dorothy Ellison, & Martha Bussell; brothers, Jimmy & Paul Coley.

Funeral services: Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Ministers John Cupp & Charles Kerin officiating.

Pallbearers: Mark Coley, Rodney Fryar, Rodney Fryar, Jr., Brandon Fryar, Scott Fryar, and Edward Ellison.

Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.

Timothy Dale Nichols "Timmy," 24, Ringgold, Ga.

Timothy Dale Nichols "Timmy", 24 of Ringgold and formerly of Trenton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

Timmy was a lifelong resident of North Georgia, was a 2011 graduate of Dade County High School where he was elected Prom King, and was a member of Trenton United Methodist Church. Timmy played basketball for Orange Grove and he also worked at Orange Grove where he was responsible for various jobs. Timmy lit up a room with his smile, he loved his family and friends dearly, and he was an avid Alabama Football fan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Melvin Leon Jones; paternal grandfather, Dale Edward Nichols; paternal step-grandfather, Kenneth Cecil Smith; and uncle, Timothy Craig Jones.

Survivors include his parents, Edward Lee Nichols and Tammy Lisa Nichols; sister, Brittney Dawn Flick (Brandon Cloud); brother, Alex Lee Nichols; nephew, Jaxon Isaiah Brown; maternal grandmother, Lila Jean Jones; paternal grandmother, Georgia Cecil Nichols Hinds; paternal step-grandfather, Eugene Hinds; aunt, Sondra Conner (Jim Conner); uncle, Jeff Jones (Stacy Jones); and cousins, Katie Jones (Tashad Thomas), Wes Jones (Courtney Jones), Jamie Conner (Anton Jones), Nick Conner (Brittany Conner), Bella Jones, Naomi Thomas, and Sawyer Jones.

Pamela Jean Fountain, 51

Pamela Jean Fountain, 51, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Gene and Mary Paul Hurt; and her husband Farris Fountain.

Pamela is survived by her children, Tasha Jones, Sabrina Bolton, April Green, Dillon Harden; sisters, Tammy Harris (Harlie), Angela Hurt; brother, Jeffery Hurt (Amy); and seven grandchildren.

Memorial service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Lafayette, GA.
