Abe Junior Rowland, 86, of Ringgold, Ga.

Abe Junior Rowland, 86, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018.

A native of Cincinnati, Iowa, he has lived in the Ringgold area for the past 22 years and was formerly of Memphis, Tennessee. He was a former employee of Plastico where he worked for 17 years, a member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church and a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Rose Wills Rowland; father, Abraham Johnathan Rowland; and mother, Dolly Ellen Harris West.

He is survived by two sons, Jon (Laurie) Rowland of Ringgold, GA., and Paul (Samantha Williams) Rowland of Waynesville, N.C.; two sisters, Lois Petty and Kitty Johnson both of Rockford, Il.; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Brainerd Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ron Ragon officiating.

Visitation: 12-1 P.M. Saturday at the church.

Patricia Ann "Trisha" O’Dell Culver, 68, Chickamauga, Ga.

Patricia Ann "Trisha" O’Dell Culver, 68, of Chickamauga, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2018 with her family by her side.

Trisha was a lifelong resident of north Georgia and was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School and was of the Baptist faith. For several years she was employed with M.R. Service Center in Chickamauga, with ATS Staffing Service, and retired from Orange Grove Center as a teacher’s assistant in 2015. Trish was a devoted wife and mother, and especially proud of her grandchildren that lovingly called her "Nana." She also enjoyed reading, watching the Hallmark channel, and taking care of her beloved beagle, Molly, whom she treated like a princess.

Trisha was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Pat Culver, parents, James & Ruby O’Dell, her brother, Ronnie O’Dell, and sister, Sandy O’Dell.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Culver; daughter, Amy (Joe) Pollak; grandchildren, Will, Maggie, & Madison; sister, Carolyn (Kenneth) Dent; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

William "Bill" Wattenbarger, 82, Burning Bush Community

William "Bill" Wattenbarger, 82, of the Burning Bush Community, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his residence.

A native of Meigs County, Tennessee, Mr. Wattenbarger had lived in the Burning Bush Community for the past 61 years. He was a 1953 graduate of Kirkman High School and retired in 2000 from Flav-O-Rich Dairies as a route salesman with more than thirty years of service. He was a member of Heritage Pointe Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working in his vegetable garden.

Mr. Wattenbarger was preceded in death by his parents, Buck & Hazel Wattenbarger, and infant sister, Susie Wattenbarger.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Frances Wattenbarger; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell & Kim Wattenbarger of Burning Bush, and Bryan & Pam Wattenbarger of Chickamauga; brother, Reed (Wanda) Wattenbarger of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Katie (Tommy) Williford, Brittany (Justin) Race, Stacie, Ashton, & Brad Wattenbarger; great-granddaughter, Jenna Race; nephew, Eddie Wattenbarger.

Funeral services: Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Neal Brown & Chaplain Greg Collins officiating.

Steven Craig Dixon, 59, Rossville, Ga.

Steven Craig Dixon, 59, of the Rossville area, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mr. Dixon was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 9, 1958 and was a life-long resident of the Rossville area. He enjoyed motorcycles, working out, music, spending time with his family, and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Manila Dixon, son, Steven A. (Brandi) Dixon, daughter, Stacie M. Reed (Will), son, Christopher S. (Laura) Dixon, stepdaughter, Melissa D. (Shane) Gothard, sister, Debbie (Eddie Traylor) Blaylock, sister, Priscilla (Ronnie) Pierce, brother, Leon (Tina) Espy, parents, Glen Dixon and Linda Morgan, 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rosie Mae Spates, age 89, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018.

She was born on April 30, 1930 and was a member of Cove Road Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgie Spates, Sr., son, Elgie Spates, Jr., mother, Viola Moten Langston, father, Alfred C. Langston, and sister, Alma Bell Montgomery.

She is survived by her children, Towanda Wooten of Hutto, Texas, Sheran Jones of Jackson, Michigan, Carolyn (Robert) Suttle of LaFayette, Georgia, Teresa Rogers of Rome, Georgia, Rosie Lee Ransom of Chickamauga, Georgia, Henrietta (Ulysses) Hawkins, Celeste (Bradford) Hinton of LaFayette, Kathleen (Thomas) Lewis of Chickamauga, and Earl (Brenda) Spates of Grand Lodge, Michigan; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; eighteen great great grandchildren; brothers, James (Lonnie) Langston and Frank Langston of LaFayette; sister-in-law, Linda Spates of LaFayette; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
