Charles "Bud" David Shadwick, 78, Ringgold, Ga.

Charles "Bud" David Shadwick, 78, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away Sunday December 17, 2017 at his residence.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a former employee of Cedar Creek Trucking where he drove for 8 years and was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Newton and Nora Dell Pierce Shadwick and son, James Michael McAllister.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Florine Strickland Shadwick of Ringgold, GA.; four daughters, Pamela McAllister (Richard) Lowrance of LaFayette, GA., Cindi McAllister (James) Wilson Moresville, IN., Cheri Shadwick (Gabriel) Powers of Cohutta, GA., and Tara Shadwick (Jake Haynes) Gordy of Ringgold, GA.; two sisters, Winona (Richard) Bryant of Ringgold, GA., and Marie Ritchie of Cleveland, TN.; five brothers, Cecil (Barbara) Shadwick of Dalton, GA., Emmett (Linda) Shadwick of Apison, TN., Ronnie (Shirley) Shadwick of Ringgold, GA., Lamar Shadwick of Ringgold, GA., and Mike (Carolyn) Shadwick of Ringgold, GA.; ten grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Josh Williams, Bro. Tony Angel and Bro. Ronnie Shadwick officiating.

Interment: New Friendship Baptist Church.

Visitation: 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, 9 A.M. – 8 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday from 9 A.M. until funeral time at the funeral home.

Margie Ann Mayfield, 74, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.

Margie Ann Mayfield, 74, of Ft. Oglethorpe, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Mayfield was a longtime member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.A. Daniels, and her husband, Jerry Mayfield.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tony & Stephanie Ellis, and Tom & Leigh Ann Ellis; grandchildren, Anna, Ally, Heather, Brandon, Jacob, & Brianna Ellis; great-grandchild, Phoenix Massengill; brother, Johnny A. Daniels of Rossville; sister, Carolyn Phillips of Lookout Mountain, GA; several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services: Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Bill Gardner officiating.

Interment: in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Jeanette Gibson, 79, Rossville, Ga.

Mrs. Jeanette Gibson, 79, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

She was a native of Dayton, TN and had lived most of her life in the Chickamauga and Rossville area and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Her passions in life were her family, gardening, and watching the birds eat in her yard. She was a loving wife, mother, and granny who was always there for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford R. Gibson; and granddaughter, Kristy McDaniels.

Survivors include her children, Rickey Gibson of Rossville; Kenneth (Karen) Gibson of Senoia, GA, and Sherry (Jimmy) Evans of Rossville; six grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
