Richard Issiac Bynum, 71, Tunnel Hill

Richard Issiac Bynum, 71, Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away Sunday July 30, 2017.

A lifelong resident of the Catoosa County area, he was a former employee of Rossville Saddle Company and was of the Holiness faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Richard and Nannie Lou Peterson Bynum; and brother, James Bynum. He is survived by five sisters, Frances “Frankie” Tucker of Tunnel Hill, GA., Mary Brown of Evansville, TN., Janie Rogers of Pensacola, FL., Patsy Simpson of Ringgold, GA., and Gracie Bynum of Harrison, TN.; two brothers, Lonnie Bynum of red Bank , TN., and Melvin Bynum of Ringgold, GA.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 3, 2017 in the funeral home chapel.

Visitation: Tuesday from 5-9 P.M. and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until funeral time at the funeral home.

Dorothy Mae Lewallen Patterson, 86, Chickamauga

Dorothy Mae Lewallen Patterson, 86, of Chickamauga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 30, 2017.

She was born in High Point, N.C. to the late Ona & Sarah Lewallen and had lived in the North Georgia area since 1965. She was a member of East Ellijay Baptist Church but was currently attending at Peavine Baptist Church. She loved flowers, collecting antiques and spending time with family & friends. She was always doing for others and going out of her way to be a servant to anyone in need. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Pat” Patterson.

Survivors include her children & spouses, Regina & Paul Richardson of Rossville, GA, Lloyd Patterson of Ringgold, GA and Tommy & Faye Patterson of Chatsworth, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Jessie & Barbara Lewallen of High Point, N.C.; 6 grandchildren, Lance Richardson, Neil Richardson, Nicholas Richardson, Danielle Deroche, Jeffery Urffer and Jeremy Urffer; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Graveside services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017 in the East Ellijay City Cemetery with Minister Darrell Fox officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
