Lee Everett Boydston, 92, East Ridge, Tenn.

Lee Everett Boydston, 92, of East Ridge, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017.

He had spent most of his young adult life in Ider, Alabama before moving back to the Chattanooga area. He was an Army-Air Force Veteran of W.W. II, 484th Bombardment Group, where he was stations in Italy & North Africa. He loved W.W. II history of W.W. and retired from the Quaker Oats Company after more than 37 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Nellie Boydston; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; his beloved wife, Jewell Glenn Moore Boydson and daughter, Lisa Lynn Boydston Mitchell.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Terry Lee & (Emalie) Boydston of East Ridge, TN; sister, Wilma Boydston Nelson of Charlotte, NC; 3 grandchildren, Jason Boydston, Tripp Mitchell, III and Samantha & (Micah) Hughes; great granddaughter, Alexis Boydston; great great granddaughter, Hollis Hughes and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Graveside services: 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bro. Pat Davis officiating.

Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Visitation: 4 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Lena Reagan Smith, 83, Fort Oglethorpe

Lena Reagan Smith, age 83, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Wednesday – August 23, 2017.

She was born in Cherokee, N.C. to the late J.D. and Emma Reagan. She spent her childhood in Cherokee and was a graduate of Sylva High School – Class of 1952. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and animals.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Jackson Smith and brother: George Reagan.

She is survived by her sons: Mike (Diedra) Smith of Ringgold, GA, Barry (Jennifer) Smith of Lookout Valley, TN, brother: Larry (Ann) Reagan of Ringgold, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Saturday – August 26, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
