Charles Edward Wood Sr., 68, Rossville

Charles Edward Wood Sr., 68, of Rossville, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Wood was a member of the Church of the Nativity-Episcopal and the East Ridge Masonic Lodge #755 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Kennedy Wood; children, Charles Edward, Jr. (Angela) Wood & Jaime (Jason) Jackson; grandchildren, Savannah, Dylan, & Caleigh Jackson; sister, Phyllis (Ralph) Stallings; brothers, Chester (Becky) Wood & Doug (Tricia) Wood; brother-in-law, Tom Sanders; several nieces and nephews.

James Ray Crawford, 63, Ringgold

James Ray Crawford, 63, of Ringgold, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Crawford was a 1973 graduate of Tyner High School and was retired as a boilermaker with local #454 for over thirty years. He was of the Baptist faith, served in the U.S. Coast Guard, enjoyed music, singing, playing the drums, and the Tennessee Vols. Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Crawford & Bobbie Lee Crawford-Bonds, and son, Keith Crawford.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Norma Bates Crawford; daughter, Jodi (Jason) Ward; son, Kelly Crawford; grandchildren, Aiden Crawford, Jacey Ward, & Delaney Crawford; brothers, Lynn (Bettye) Crawford, & Jeff Crawford; sister, Angie (Mike) Schreiber; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services, with full military honors: Tuesday, August 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. David Burris officiating.

James Larry "Jim" Tudor, 65, Murfreesboro, Tenn.

James Larry "Jim" Tudor, age 65, of Murfreesboro passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017.

He was a native of Chattooga County, GA and the son of the late Lawrence Andrew "Doc" and Ruby Lee Parsons Tudor. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Richard "Sonny" Tudor, Billy Tudor, Maxine Henderson, Louise Wilson; loving wife of 34 years, Deborah Shields Tudor; wife, Deborah Webb Tudor; and grandchild, Julianna Reed.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm (CST) Monday, August 7, 2017 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Brian Harrell will officiate. Interment will be in Coleman Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughters, Erica Reed and her husband Jason of Milton, Kathryn Leigh Walls and her husband Aaron of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Ashton Reed, Maura Reed, Naomi Walls; siblings, Maxine Anderson, Ruby Narmore, Raymond Tudor, Tommy Tudor, Waymond "Babe" Tudor; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Mr. Tudor served in the US Marines and the US Army National Guard and was a retired Air Traffic Controller for the FAA. He was a member and Deacon of Central Baptist Church in Long Beach, MS and Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. He also attended Waterville Baptist Church in Trion, GA and Ward’s Grove Baptist Church in Milton, TN.

Pallbearers: Aaron Walls, Jason Reed, Ashton Reed, brothers and nephews.

Memorials may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.

Billy Wayne Brown, 69, Chickamauga

Billy Wayne Brown, 69 of Chickamauga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

He was a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga area and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was previously employed with Ernest Holmes as a Welder for many years and enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Virgie Brown.

Survivors include his children, Belinda & (Bronnie) Allen of Sweetwater, TN and Franklin Dewayne Brown of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Bob & (Jamie) Brown of Soddy-Daisy, TN; sisters, Linda Brown of Rossville, GA and Nancy Cordell of LaFayette, GA; 2 grandchildren, Avery & Jacob and several nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Graveside services: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in the Crestlawn Cemetery with Rev. Wilton Grimes officiating.
