No serious injuries reported

No serious injuries were reported in a wreck Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 31, on the U.S. Highway 27 bypass in LaFayette.

According to LaFayette police:

The wreck occurred about 12:40 p.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and the bypass.

A gold Chevrolet HHR with a male adult driver and a 7-year-old female passenger were heading south on North Main Street and attempted a turn onto the bypass when the driver collided with a silver Chevrolet Impala with an adult female driver.

The LaFayette Police Department, LaFayette Fire Department, and Walker County Emergency Services responded to the accident.
