Walker County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the second armed robbery within a week to occur at the Kangaroo convenience store at 118 Kay Conley Road in Rock Spring.

In both robberies, the suspect used a knife demanding money and then made the store clerk lie down in a back room before he left the store.

On Saturday, April 9, about 6:58 a.m., a suspect entered the Kay Conley Kangaroo store . The suspect is described as a male, 5'’7”, approximately 150 pounds wearing a dark green hoodie, dark sunglasses, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, white gloves and possibly wearing a black ski mask.

On Sunday, April 3, a little after 5 a.m. a suspect entered the Kangaroo store located at Kay Conley. This suspect is described as a white male 5’8” wearing a dark blue zip up sweatshirt, red or orange toboggan, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and gloves; the suspect’s face was covered.

In both robberies, the suspect is seen on the store parking lot camera walking from Kay Conley Road and leaving walking towards Kay Conley Road, in the direction of Long Hollow Road. No vehicles were seen. The suspect is believed to live in the area or possibly parking nearby and walking to the robbery location.
