Michael Wesley Turner

A Rossville man was arrested last week in Catoosa County on outstanding warrants for allegedly stabbing and beating his girlfriend about six months ago.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department:

Michael Wesley Turner, 40, of Warren Street in Rossville was arrested on May 28 on outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

Turner was released from jail on bond after a 4½-hour stay.

The alleged actions stem from an incident that was reported to police on Nov. 11.

The woman said Turner got violent with her while the couple was at a Tennessee residence. She said he stabbed her in the leg and head.

She said that once they arrived home in Rossville, Turner continued to beat her with his fists and knees, reports show.

She said she didn’t notify police initially due to fear, but waited until Turner left the house to call once she felt safe enough.

Deputies observed both of the victim’s eyes to be black and blue and nearly swollen shut, reports show.

They also observed stab wounds in her left thigh and on her head.

On Nov. 18, detectives obtained warrants for Turner’s arrest. He was arrested and booked into Catoosa County jail just before noon on May 28.
