A Rossville man accused of sexually molesting a young girl in Catoosa County was on the run from police before eventually being found hiding in a friend’s bathroom in Walker County.

According to the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department:

Cagney Darail Dyer, 28, of Princess Lane, was arrested Saturday, June 18, on charges of child molestation, aggravated child molestation, and aggravated sexual battery.

On Friday, June 17, deputies received a complaint from a mother claiming Dyer had been touching her daughter inappropriately.

During a forensic interview with the child, it was learned that the alleged abuse had been taken place from March 2015 through June 17, 2016.

Dyer was arrested June 18 in Walker County. Detectives found him attempting to hide out in a friend’s bathroom.
