A LaFayette woman, apparently under the influence of alcohol. was arrested for disorderly conduct after someone reported seeing her rolling around in the road.
According to LaFayette Police Department reports:
On Thursday, Aug. 20, around 6 p.m., 67-year-old Carolyn Jean Goins was reported to have been allegedly intoxicated and walking in the streets and rolling around on the roadway.
When police arrived, Goins was near a garage off Glencoe Street, on her knees and throwing up. The officer told Goins he could smell alcohol on her.
A woman said she had witnessed Goins stumbling up Glencoe Avenue from North Second Street and saw her fall onto her side and start rolling on the roadway. The woman said Goins was unable to stand back up and started to crawl up Glencoe Avenue toward her.
Goins was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and transported to the Walker County jail without incident.
