The funeral for Frances Middleton, the LaFayette woman whose body was found Aug. 23 in her apartment, will be Friday.

Frances Louise Holcomb Middleton of LaFayette, Ga., died on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014. She was 46.

She was born Feb. 20, 1968, in Greenville, S.C., was of the Christian faith, and she enjoyed, gardening, cooking and singing.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Edgar Holcomb.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Middleton of Chattanooga; parents, Curly L. Holcomb Sr. and Sybil E. Kelly Holcomb of LaFayette; five children, Candace Wright of Summerville, Kayla Middleton of Signal Mountain, Ashley Holliday of LaFayette, Jordan (Shawn) Carey of Gainesville, Jonathan Lovell of Oakwood; brother, Curly Lee Holcomb Jr. of LaFayette; sister, Linda Holcomb of LaFayette; five grandchildren, Tyree, Gracie Mae, Zamora, Judah and Landon, nephews, Thomas and Blake Holcomb, and niece, Chasity Holcomb.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in LaFayette City Cemetery.
