On Dec. 19, Ringgold Elementary School students with excellent behavior were rewarded with a “Snow Ball.” As a part of the school's PBIS program, students were able to purchase admission into the “ball” for a couple of hours of fun in the snow. The RES gym was transformed into a winter wonderland with real snow flurries, snowflakes glistening from the ceiling and walls, snowballs flying in festive fights, and there was even a visit from Frozen's Queen Elsa. Students were delighted to welcome Queen Elsa, although she had definitely taken on a new look. School Resource Officer Hamilton McCaleb donned the Elsa gown and wig, along with his usual weaponry. Students also enjoyed face painting, snow bowling, a snow “ball” with dancing, and lots of snacks and treats. A Holiday Spirit contest was held for each grade level as well, which assured students were decked out in their finest festive frocks. It was an exciting, unique event for all who participated and a great way to begin winter break. RES extends thanks to the PBIS team and all who worked so hard to make this possible for students.
