Special musical performance at Graysville Elementary
On May 1, everyone at Graysville Elementary School enjoyed a special musical performance. The Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra Wind Quintet shared an enjoyable concert at the elementary school. The quintet members shared information about their musical instruments, including the clarinet, flute, bassoon, oboe and French horn. The members demonstrated how sounds are made with each of the instruments. Each instrument was highlighted as they told the story of “Peter and the Wolf.” The quintet also played ragtime music with “Cascades” and a blues song, “First Prelude.” Their performance ended with all the Graysville students snapping along to “Pink Panther.” The program was very entertaining for the students as they learned about music and musical instruments in the process. Graysville appreciates the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra Wind Quintet for sharing their expertise and performance with the students.
