A Lyerly woman died Monday, May 15, after crashing the vehicle she was driving into a utility pole.

According to Georgia State Patrol Post 41, about 5:30 a.m., Jessica Elizabeth Tutor was driving north on East Armuchee Road when she veered from the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert with the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle overturn and then crashed into the pole.

Tutor was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was found in the vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
