Young author speaks to Fort Oglethorpe Kiwanis Club

The Kiwanis Club of Fort Oglethorpe, known for its support of children, invited 10-year-old Boston McClarty to speak to the club about the books that he has written. Boston and his twin brother Declan were born 14 weeks premature. Due to health complications, Declan did not survive and Boston went on to spend three months in Erlanger’s NICU. Boston titled his first book “Heroes are Made,” dedicating it to his late brother. His second book in the series is titled “The Lost Powers.” The books are for kids 7-13 years old. He plans to have five books in the series. Half of the proceeds from the sale of the books are used to provide blankets for the NICU with a letter from Boston, over 500 blankets have been donated so far.
