Elizabeth Allyn Rubright and Jeffery Howard Gibson wed


Elizabeth Allyn Rubright and Jeffery Howard Gibson were married Saturday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m. on the pier at the Chocowinity, N.C., river home of the bride’s parents, with Rev. Michael Lewis Vaughn and Judge Fred Bryant Henry Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald George Rubright of Atlanta. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James DeWitt Koehler of Lebanon, Penn., and Mr. John Hardman Rubright of Slatington, Penn., and the late Mrs. Janet Davies Rubright. James Hardman Rubright of Burlington, Vermont, served as his sister’s man of honor. Morgan MacKenzie Sholley of Raleigh, N.C., cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor.

Allyn is a 2002 graduate of Wake Forest University and a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law. She is an attorney employed with Bass, Berry and Sims PLC in Nashville, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Nelson Taylor of LaFayette, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Howard Gibson Jr., of Centre, Ala. He is the grandson of Mrs. Emily Chapman Henry of LaFayette and the late Mr. Fred Bryant Henry Sr., and Mrs. Louise Johnson Gibson of Edgefield, S.C. and the late Mr. Frank Howard Gibson Sr. Scott Henry Gibson of Birmingham, Ala. served as his brother’s best man.

The groom is a graduate of Furman University in 2002 and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia School or Law. He is an attorney employed with Neal and Harwell PLC in Nashville, Tenn.

The couple lives in Nashville, Tenn., after their wedding trip to Nicaragua.
