Ringgold’s Share America Foundation prepares copies of its hit “Americana Youth of Southern Appalachia” CD for mailing to radio. Among them are Emerald Butler; Warren Carnes; Phillip Cross; Landon Fitzpatrick; Nicholas Hickman; Trevor Holder; Kings Springs Road; Isaac Moore; Mountain Cove Bluegrass Band; Matthew Nave; Wally O’Donald; Bradley Powell; Drew Sherrill; Sheri Thrower’s SingAkadamie; Ryan Stinson, Landon Wall; and Tyler West. The physical mailing sent to 170 American radio stations includes information about the Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship and is supported by a North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation Foundation Roundup grant. Other project elements were supported by the Kiwanis Club of Ringgold, and the Wes and Shirley Smith Charitable Endowment. The CDs are arriving at radio stations already being a chart topper through a partnership with AirPlayDirect.com, delivering the music digitally to radio stations around the world helping shoot the album to No. 1 in June on the APD Global Americana Albums Chart and No. 8 in July on the same charts sharing the top 10 with Radney Foster, Chris Isaak and Riders in the Sky.
