Catoosa County sheriff's detectives are investigating a burglary case in which hundreds of dollars worth of tools and equipment were stolen from a Chickamauga residence, police say.

According to the Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to the 6000 block of Lafayette Road in Chickamauga on Feb. 19 regarding the burglary call, at which time the property owner reported several tools missing from the premises.

"The victim stated he was remodeling the house to live in and left the tools in the open garage," Lt. L.C. Cripps said.

Three generators and two air compressors were taken from the scene, as well as a nail gun, hand saw, heater, and radio charger, reports show.

The victim told officers he'd attempt to get the serial number information for the tools to them to help further the investigation.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the missing property is encouraged to contact the Catoosa County Sheriff's Department at 706-935-2424.
