North Georgia HealthCare Center (NGHCC) will host their first-ever Kentucky Derby Fundraiser Party on Saturday, May 6, at 4 p.m.
NGHCC is a non-profit, 501c3 that provides primary healthcare for underserved residents in Catoosa and surrounding North Georgia counties and the Greater Chattanooga area. Funds from the event will help provide these services to those who may not qualify for sliding scale fees or other special programs as well as support our developing dental program for the underserved.
The Derby Party to be held at The Renaissance Center, 630 North Avenue, Rossville, GA will begin with games, races, photos, music, food, beverages and a silent auction followed by a full, catered meal. Derby parties traditionally have been a time for hats, sundresses, dapper dressing and contests. All of this will be a part of the fun-filled evening with the primary focus being the Best 2 Minutes in Sports – the Kentucky Derby.
A companion fundraiser event, a Hat Party and Luncheon (space is limited) is planned for the ladies on Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m., Patriot Hall in Ringgold. This will begin with a social time to select and prepare hats (with embellishments provided) to be worn to the Main Event, the Derby Party on May 6. Ladies can enter the optional hat contest at the Derby Party. There will be trophies and prizes for winners to include Prettiest Hat, Best Decorated Hat and Most Outlandish Hat plus a Best Dressed Gentleman contest.
So gentlemen, pick your best girl, brush off the seersucker, fluff out our bowtie, mark your calendar, order your ticket and get ready to experience and enjoy what just may be THE best and uniquely Southern social event of the Season in Catoosa County.
