A woman was arrested on multiple drug charges during a Fort Oglethorpe police traffic stop that stemmed from a faulty vehicle registration.
Police report that Lesley S. Gillyard, 20, of 54 Pinto Lane in Ringgold was arrested on July 19 and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $15,000.
Police Sgt. Michael Cannon pulled over a 1977 Chevrolet Nova traveling along Cloud Springs Road just before 1 a.m. because he was unable to see the tag validation.
While interviewing the driver, Cannon reports seeing a glass pipe extruding from the bra of Gillyard, who was in the passenger seat. During questioning, Gillyard was found to also have crack cocaine in her bra. Officers also found methamphetamine in Gillyard's purse.
The driver was released from the scene with a warning regarding his registration, while Gillyard was transported to jail.
