A residential fire in the city of Rossville took the life of one man this past weekend.

According to Rossville police Detective Dave Scroggins, on Saturday, July 15, shortly before 2 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 300 block of Central Street due to a residential fire.

Inside, firefighters found the body of 51-year-old Tommy Lamar Frazier.

It is believed that Frazier died from smoke inhalation, but that will not be confirmed until an autopsy is completed, Scroggins said.

The house is a total loss and the cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.
