Local runners will have the chance to stretch their legs Saturday, March 17, when Catoosa County's Communities In Schools hosts its 20th annual GraduRun 5k in downtown Ringgold.

Communities In Schools, a non-profit organization, works to help students achieve more in their school system by surrounding them with community of support to help them succeed in both the classroom and in life.

This year's installment of the event is being sponsored by First Volunteer Bank, and will begin at the company's Ringgold location in adjacent to Ingle's at 5102 Ga. Highway 151 (Alabama Highway).

The run will begin at 8 a.m., with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. Runners can still meet the event's pre-registration deadline of Wednesday, March 14.

Date & time: Saturday March 17, 2018. Race starts at 8:00am

Entry Fee: $25(Chip Time Race) Pre-Registration (Before March 14, 2018) $30 Day of race registration.

Location: First Volunteer Bank, 5102 Alabama Hwy, Ringgold, Ga.

Course: Relatively flat though beautiful Ringgold, Georgia. Course Certification #GA05010WC

T-Shirts: Short-sleeve shirts will be guaranteed to pre-registered runners. Late registration shirts may or may not be available the day of the race.

Awards: Top overall male & Female in each group

(15 & under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over).

Prizes: There will be door prizes awarded following the event.
