On Monday afternoon deputy sheriffs on patrol on Interstate 75 northbound stopped a suspicious vehicle near Calhoun according a press release from Sheriff Mitch Ralston.
A background check on the driver revealed that he was wanted by the Resaca Municipal Court on a 2013 warrant for failure to appear. A search of the automobile also revealed several ounces of cocaine packaged for resale.
The driver, identified as Kendall Donta Pentecost, 32, 301 Wilson Street, Winchester, Tennessee, was arrested at the scene without incident and charged with trafficking cocaine in addition to the failure to appear warrant. He is being held in the county jail pending bond.
