This Friday, Dec. 8 will be a field trip day for students and staff at Calhoun City Schools. The Calhoun Yellow Jacket football team will be playing for the state championship at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta at 1 p.m. that day. Parents and students are encouraged to go to the game to help support the team.
Due to the need for transportation, totaling more than 14 buses, and the attendance of students, teachers, parents and community members, the school system has determined that we must close school this Friday, Dec. 8. Again, the trip to Atlanta will be treated as field trip leave.
