A couple current Major Leaguers and former Calhoun High baseball stars came together with several old teammates, coaches, friends and supporters for a day of golf, fun and fellowship on Saturday at Fields Ferry in Calhoun.

Jackets baseball alumni Josh Smoker and Charlie Culberson hosted the first-ever Smoker-Culberson Classic Golf Tournament with the proceeds going to support the Calhoun High Baseball program led by head coach Chip Henderson.

A total of 14 four-man teams competed in the best-ball tournament, and it was Smoker’s team of himself, Kyle Wilckens, Dylan Wilckens and Alex Barfoot that took home the first-place finish with a score of 54. Several other teams finished within one or two strokes of the top spot.
