This exceptional largemouth bass was caught at Rocky Mountain Public Fishing Area (Lake Antioch) on Easter weekend by Shelia Peterson of Calhoun.

Peterson was catfishing with cut bait when the fish hit. When she and her husband, Cory, saw that it was monster largemouth bass on the other end of the line, they were ecstatic. After a several-minute, leg-trembling fight to shore, Shelia landed the trophy fish.

They didn’t have a scale to weigh it, but estimated it to be around 15 pounds in size. After a few photos, the fish was released back into the lake.
