The Northwest Georgia Nitros, a local swim team that operates out of the Calhoun Aquatic Center, will send four swimmers to the NCSA Junior National Championships in Orlando, Fla. this week. They began the meet on Tuesday and it will wrap up on Saturday.

Among the Nitros swimmers making the trip are Caleb Black, Cal Parker, Bo Dyar and John Carroll. Black will compete in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly and 50-yard backstroke, and Parker will compete in the 200-yard breaststroke, 100-yard breaststroke, 50-yard breaststroke and 50-yard backstroke. Both Dyar and Carroll will complete the relay team along with Black and Parker for the 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard medley relay.
