WALESKA, Ga. -- Reinhardt’s Maci Mills has been named Appalachian Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week following three wins in the circle last week for the Lady Eagles. The award was announced by the AAC office Monday afternoon.
Mills began her week by going the distance in a win at Columbia, allowing four runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts last Tuesday. Two days later, Mills celebrated Senior Day for the Lady Eagles with one of the most dominating performances of her career. Mills allowed only three hits and three walks while striking out four in a 5-0 shutout victory. Then on Saturday at St. Andrews, the Calhoun, Ga., native allowed just one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in a five-inning complete game with the Lady Eagles winning 13-1.
Mills improved to 17-2 on the season with the victories. It is the first weekly conference honor of her career.
